Updating MD802 BEFORE USE ?

     Hi. I have just taken delivery of a brand new MD802 All systems. 

    I read on the internet the tool has to be registered or updated before it will work. Is this correct or will it work straight out of the box. 

    My thoughts are it should work out of the box and I should update just inside of the tool being one year old. 

    Please could anyone confirm ?

     Hi it will work straight out of the box best to get new sd card 16gb or 32gb and install all software On the new sd card

     Thanks for the reply.. Is it best to wait till the tool is say 11 months old before doing the download ? I would imagine it should be pretty much up to date as it is so if I update near to the end of the allotted time spot will pick up the latest updates later on ??

     it does not matter when do you update but autel update all the time. It costs 100Dollars for a updates after your free updates run out. I dont know how upto date the sd card is that comes with the tool hope this helps
